WASC @ Open Streets ICT NoMar - May 3, 2026
WASC Mexico Committee members set up a booth to connect with residents, share the mission of Sister Cities, and to make new friends. We displayed Mexican art (alebrije + pinata) along with La Travesia de Hermandad (cyclists who bicycle from Tlalnepantla de Baz, Mexico) and information on our two Mexico Sister Cities.
We had a great time connecting with people and making new friends.
Pictures of Delegation to Tlalnepantla de Baz - July 12-20, 2023
Teresa Molina and two other Sister Cities board members along with two Wichita City Council members and students from Friends University traveled to Mexico to meet with the Mayor of Tlalnepantla de Baz, members of the city council and other local business leaders during their stay. Below are some pictures of the Tlalnepantla City Hall (with stained glass "Keeper of the Plains"), the Wichita Plaza with a statue of the "Keeper of the Plains", the sheriff of Tlalnepantla meeting with students from Friends University as well as a business meeting involving the students. More pictures include a special dinner on the flat-bottomed boats and an outdoor dinner consisting of wild boar.
